Alexandra Burghardt – Qualifies for Tokyo 2021


German Sprinter Alexandra Burghardt is our first feature for track beauty of the week. A new section of our site dedicated to Female Track and Field athletes from around the world.

The 23-year-old is a sprinter/hurdler with best times of 11.32 in the 100 and 13.41 in the 100 Hurdles. While the tall muscular German girl stands at 1.81m, almost 6 feet tall and weighs 70kg. In 2018 Burghardt decided to focus on the 100 and 200. She set a new 200 PB of 23.57 at Claremont on 23 April.

Olga Safronova Asia’s Fastest


Olga is a good height for a sprinter standing 5’8 and weighing 65kg. She is coached by Yury Masktakov and Alexander Denisko. And graduated from Karaganda University.

Interestingly looking at her development she was an average 16-17-year-old with 12.5-sec runs. But really leveled up at 19 with her first sub 12 runs. From 2010 to 2011 from 19-20 she improved from 11.87 to 11.37 and then 11.37 to 11.12 at 21.

Olga competed at the 2012 Olympics and made it to the semi-finals in the 100m.
