Shereen Samson Vallabouy broke Malaysian Records in 400

She may miss out on the 2022 SEA Games but it has been a stellar season for Vallabouy who currently ranks 4th in the SEA Rankings behind Quach Thi Lan (52.46), Nguyen Thi Huyen (52.49) both from Vietnam and Sri Mayasari (53.22) of Indonesia.

Both Shereen’s parents were national athletes

The 24-year-old Shereen Samson Vallabouy has broken her own Personal Best Time in the 400m after clocking 53.37s at The 2022 Bryan Clay Invitational earlier this morning
@shereen_vallabouy has also shattered Winona State University’s school record and is now the 1st ranked Women’s 400m in NCAA Division II.
She did her PB, after only competing in her 3rd outdoor competition.
Vallabouy took bronze in 400 at the 2015 SEA Games as an 18-year-old.
For note, the National Record of Malaysia is held by Rabia Abdul Salam with 52.56 set at the 1993 Asian Championships in Malaysia.

National Indoor Record

Shereen Samson Vallabouy tops the heats of the NCAA Div 2 Indoor Championships (11.03.22). In a new Malaysian indoor national record and SEA leading time of 53.88. The previous national record was held by Noraseela Khalid with 54.58s.

She then went on to win the Div 2 title in 53.79!!
