PinoyAthletics Pangasinan Invitational and Special Qualifying for Palaro – First time 100m ran in reverse

PinoyAthletics Pangasinan Invitational and Special Qualifying for Palaro

The first time it’s ever been done in Philippine Athletics events. Due to a massive headwind blowing down the 100m. We opted to turn the track around and start at the Finish line of 100 and finish at the start line. Thus getting a 3.0 to the 4.0-meter tailwind.

Which allowed some faster than usual times at the PinoyAthletics Pangasinan Invitational.

The King of the Street Jaymark Estrada after a slow start closed down to win in 11.29 (just outside his PB 11.0/11.24). Having improved from 12.01 on Jan 29 and 11.69 on March 5.

In second was 17 year old Angelo Munoz the 2019 Batang Pinoy Luzon Gold medalist who clocked 11.36 (below his 11.2/11.44 PB).

Munoz who got out fastest and led most of the way was dragged through to a Palarong Pambansa qualifier (11.46).

Joining Renier Ranges his teammate in Iloilo on May 28-29.

Next up will be La Union on April 30.
