PinoyAthletics Invitational Pangasinan – The Millionaire dqed in epic 200m.
It was an epic men’s 200m with ‘The Millionaire’ Jaymark Estrada (Dagupan) after having been crowned double 100-200 champion of the 1st Elyu Championships at La Union disqualified after. With the race not being recalled.
With the Top 2 VMUF/PinoyAthletics Elite sprinters having a rest week. Being National Silver and Bronze medalists Guhan De Luna Garcia (22.16) and Rocky Ramos (22.20).
The honors in the 200 went to Gio De Vera (VMUF/PinoyAthletics Elite) who clocked a PB of 22.87 battling a very strong headwind in the outside lane. The 6’0 Gio uses his long legs to reel in his younger teammate Renier Ranges while fighting the pain of the headwind.
Ranges who is the top-ranked high schooler in the country right now in the 200m clocked in 22.93 (near his 22.90 PB) and Angelo Munoz 23.96 hit a PB (outside the Palaro Qualifying of 23.50).
While in the 800m Edu Garibay (VMUF/PinoyAthletics Elite) clocked a 2:03.20 PB, running by himself thus improving on his PB of 2:04.99 which is already under the Palaro qualifying mark of 2:09.
Cymon De Jesus (Caloocan Supremo) who took the Gold at the Elyu Open Championships in La Union last weekend again made the trip up North from Manila and clocked 10:16 just shy of his 10:05 win at Elyu.
Still below the 9:37 qualifying mark for Palaro. De Jesus who attends school within the border of Region 3 will have to see if his time is good enough for the bonus slots given by the DepEd.

And are now focussing full attention on structured training coming out of the pandemic with guidance from PinoyAthletics.
Es-Oro also won a solo 3000m in 10:37 which was a slight improvement to his PB of 10:39 at the PinoyAthletics Mindanao Track League at Butuan City in December. However, it was outside the Palaro qualification mark of 9:37.
