Natalia Quintero takes a scholarship to Columbia University
Natalia Quintero, the older sister of 2019 Junior Athlete of the Year, Daniela Quintero.
Has taken a scholarship to the prestigious ivy league Columbia University. She has committed to run Cross Country and Track and Field with them for the next 4 years.
Quintero has a Personal best of 2:13.75 and ranked second behind her younger sister Daniela at 2:11.96.
Daniela’s best time of 3:06.39 for 1000m is the Philippine National Indoor and National Junior Indoor Record.
The Quintero sisters secured Filipino passports in 2018. But yet to represent the Philippines.
Natalia is still a Junior athlete born in 2003.
Natalia only ran 2:20.76 indoors in 2020 due to COVID.
Dinh Thi Bich of Vietnam won the SEA Games in 2:07.16. The bronze medal standard for the 2021 SEA Games is 2:09.61. The Philippines was represented by Marisol Amarga, who finish 7th and has a PB of 2:13.97, the fastest of the local athletes of 2019.

Andrew was elected Vice President of the Association of Track and Field Statisticians in 2020 after being a member for 7 years.
He has worked as a PSC Consultant and Research Assistant from 2013-2015, Consultant, and Sprint Coach at Zamboanga Sports Academy from 2015-2017. And Currently is Consultant Coach with VMUF 2021-
Current editor and chief of Pinoyathletics.info, and has recently done consultancy work for Ayala Corp evaluating the Track and Field Program.
Coaches Sprints, Middle and Jump events he is Level 3 Athletics Australia Coaching Certification in Sprints and Hurdles.
Currently working towards a Masters Degree in Education.
