Kira Ellis tops 2XU Australia Triathlon event runs 5000 PB

16-year-old Fil-Kiwi Kira Ellis who is a High School Student at Brent International in Laguna. Took out the 2XU  Triathlon Series Female event at Brighton, Australia from a field of 11 competitors. The event was held on December 11 Ellis clocked a time of 1:06.29, but her performance ‘at the end of a Triathlon’ in the road run of 18:51 was a new PB.  Passing the 19:03 she did in the green run road run a few months ago in Cavite.

16-year-old Kira Ellis of Brent a member of the national team in Triathlon had the fastest time in the Weekly Relays 5000m in all age grades winning in an unofficial time of 19:23. Pete Brooks coaches Ellis.
She is a mix of New Zealand/Filipino. Ellis was hoping to clock below her PB of 19:03 at the weekly relays, but went out a bit too fast with a 1:12 opening lap. She took the gold in youth girls with Asia Parase 20:02 of SpectrumRunners in Silver and Mary Rose Frias 20:23 of VMUF/Pinoyathletics in bronze.
The winning time in the open women was 19:27 by Macrose Dichoso (Phil Army)
