On another topic. Check out this data file then dig into your stats. I believe you will find all the best Philippine Records were less than 6% off the current World Record in the year they were achieved.

The only people who have achieved this are

Example: Hector’s 8:35.01 was 94%+ of the 3000m SC WR of 8:05.4 in 1988. This is the measuring stick for an A-level Philippine Record performance. 91% to 94% is B level and 89% to 91% is C level. All else is below standard. Cray is your only current guy!

You can see some records are pre-1930’s standards!! Most are 50-60 years out of date although the ones did years ago were better when they were done because they were closer to the world record year. Eg. Hector is still 92% but was 94%. Same for Del, etc. G2VAPE
