CKB Improves his season’s best of 14.41 from Baguio in December. And by virtue of being defending champion at SEA Games, 2019 gets an automatic spot to SEA Games.
But still has a lot of work on his hurdling to defend his SEA Games Championship title as his rivals from Thailand (13.91), Singapore (13.97), Malaysia (14.04), and Indonesia (14.11) the latter is very heavy rain conditions in the last few months.
NB. Bautista is the only Filipino male to ever win the SEA Games 110 Hurdles title in SEA Games History.

After 2 Successive SEA Games with no luck at landing a medal, John Albert Mantua punched out the SEA Games Bronze standard with a huge 17.02m throw to join defending Champion William Morrison in 2022 SEA Games.
