After a five-year hiatus, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) is set to welcome the long-awaited return of the National Games of the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA). State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) National Games tentatively announced their exciting comeback this year on October 1-6, 2023. In collaboration with Region III SUCs, this event will be hosted by Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), Camiling Tarlac.
The last edition of the games took place in Antique province back in February 2018.
TAU previously hosted the regional SCUAA meet in February, where its athletes achieved remarkable success, earning a total of 97 medals (30 gold, 37 silver, and 30 bronze). Their impressive performance secured them the fifth spot in the overall ranking.
As a result, the medalists in various sports such as athletics, women’s archery, women’s lawn tennis (singles), and men’s lawn tennis (singles and doubles). And women’s badminton (singles) will represent the region in the upcoming national finals.
The 2020 National SCUAA, was originally slated in March 2020 and planned to be organized by Bicol University (BU) at the time. Was postponed by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
