2023 Davao City Athletics OpenThe Davao City Open meet held August 27-28 at UM Mindanao is sanctioned by PATAFA and its patron Mr. Willie Torres is PATAFA Vice President. The Davao City Track and Field Associaton (DCTAFA) headed by Mr. Kenneth Sai is somewhat autonomous in nature, as all officials at this meet were local DAVAO Officials accredited by PATAFA. UM and DCTFA are looking at building their own strong program which is separate from “Imperial Manila”.
Hence we post a disclaimer based on recent events. Pinoyathletics will expose any coaches/institutions publicly that we find are going directly to athletes to recruit and completely bypassing their coaches in the process. It might be a good idea to ask the athlete if interested in recruiting them who is their coach and then cease all talks before talking to their coach. Directly from hereon in we are posting this disclaimer at the front of the page as if we post it at the end it’s easily bypassed.
