2023 Brent School Meet Results
Brent School Meet is held at Brent School, on March 4 in Binan invitational only for High School Kids. Lots of participants mainly from International School Manila, Brent Laguna, and Iskolar Calumbang Integrated School in Calamba City.
The highlight of the event was 14-year-old Loraine Batalla getting the win over 17-year-old National Triathlete Fil-Kiwi Kira Ellis who was the Youth Girls Champion in 5000m at Weekly Relays. Batalla the 2022 Batang Pinoy Champion in 800m, 1500m, and 3000m scored a new PB of 10:53.7. While Ellis clocked a time of 11:03.0.
This event serves as a dress rehearsal with Batalla and Ellis having a rematch at the Calabarzon Regional meet at the end of April. Batalla is coached by Yourke Tamayo, while Ellis is by Peter Brooks!
In what is the prelude steaming up to be the premier race of the 2023 Palaro in Marikina with Australian-based Ilongo Mia Guillergan the world record holder for 11-year-olds also in the mix.
