2022 Techombank International Marathon – 3 Filipinos top events

2019 SEA Games Champion Christine Hallasgo ruled the Half Marathon (21k) Event at the Techombank International Marathon in Ho Chi Minh City, Hallasgo clocked 1h21.05. Just outside her season’s best and PB of 1h20.34 clocked at the Kidney run in Valencia City on 11 June 2022. Former national athlete Nheann Barcena made it a one-two finish for the Filipinos coming in 2nd in 1h27.53. Neza Maklin another foreign entry took third in 1h31.10.
While her training partner in the Men’s National athlete Richard Salano topped the Mens Half Marathon in 1h10.33 improving on his 1h12 season best at the Rockin’ Roll Run in Manila earlier in the season, with Spectrum Runners athletes Prince Joey Lee (1h17.12) and Jerome Castillo (1h17.44) along with Roy Laudit (1h19.35) and Arlan Arbois (1h20.22) making it a 5 man sweep for the Philippines.
While in the Mens Marathon Brian Quiamco won another victory for the Philippines in 2h38.28, ahead of Elliott Christopher Hardy (another foreigner) and former Philippines Milo Champion Jerald Zabala 2h41.01. Florendo Lapiz another Filipino finished 5th in 2h44.52.
Both Hallasgo and Salano are coached by National Distance Coach Eduardo Buenavista.
