2018 Koronadal City Track Fest Results (September 30, 2018)
With the results of the track fest, it aims for a National cup in January 2019. Truly, if communities are empowered, they can provide a meaningful experience for all young track and field athletes.
Koronadal Track Fest and Mindanao Blue Knights Join hand in hand for Grassroots Athletics
It is expected that around 150-200 athletes from major regions of Mindanao will converge for the first-ever Koronadal-Mindanao Track Fest, which the City of Koronadal organizes through its Mayor Dr. Peter Miguel in partnership with the Mindanao Blue Knights Track League at the South Cotabato Sports Complex on 05-07-October-2018.
The track fest, which also serves as the 2nd leg of the Mindanao Blue Knights Track League Season 5, will cover 3 regions in Mindanao, SOCKSARGEN, and Davao Region ARMM. As the event is open to all athletes regardless of club or affiliation, the Koronadal Track Fest will provide meaningful exposure for promising grassroots athletes in Mindanao.
Age groups are 12-under, 13-16 youth, and 17 and above open senior for both men and women. Through the initiative of the City Government of Koronadal, the event is FREE of charge as part of the Charter Anniversary of Koronadal City. Another way to showcase independent Athletics meets as part of a true and genuine grassroots development.
Indeed, Mindanao beats NCR and other regions as Athletics events on the Philippines’ 2nd largest island every month. For details, contact Prof. Airnel T. Abarra at [email protected] and join the FB group Mindanao Track and Field Club (MINTRAC)
