Mr. Abarra who started off his program as ‘part of his thesis’ but expanded on this concept through his experiences with European Athletics. Has plans and interested parties looking at expanding into the further provinces in Mindanao.

The Blue Knights have already had one edition held at Tagum in previous years. While Davao Blue Knight officials have been accredited by PATAFA last year. The meet is run with the support of individuals who contribute to the event as unlike the PSC-PATAFA weekly relays it is not funded by the PSC or the PATAFA.

The meet is in its 4th year of operation now and the second leg was completed at Ateneo De Davao University. PATAFA Weekly Relay Continuously Cancelled

Meanwhile in Manila due to lack of a venue. While the Phil Sports Ultra is having it lights fixed. The PATAFA first moved the weekly relays to Dasmarinas on September 10. Then on September 17, 24, and October 1, the meet was discontinued at Dasmarinas. Also due to lack of a venue (as per advisories of the PATAFA Facebook Page and Group), I am unsure if any Weekly Relay took place as there was no advisory confirming or canceling it on October 10 on the PATAFA pages. However, sources advised it has been. In the meantime, PATAFA is making the most of the situation by conducting clinics in some provinces.

The PATAFA Finals of Weekly Relays which may serve as part of their qualifying for the national team. Is supposedly at the end of November, although a final venue hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The action shifted to Davao. In the 100m Dash Palaro Record Holder Feberoy Kasi held off his brother Jeovannie 10.90 to 10.92 in what was a cutthroat race between the visitors from Cotabato.

In the 400m Feberoy teammate, Marjun Sulleza the Palaro 400 Hurdles Champion took a tight finish too narrowly hold off Jumell Gonzales of Sto. Tomas National High School from Sto. Tomas, Davao Del Norte
