A flood of athletes from Davao Del Norte, Davao Del Sur, Kidapawan City, and Koronadal City left somewhat bewildered with the weekly relays not pushing through as planned in their respective parts of the country. So the action shifted to Davao. In the 100m Dash, Palaro Record Holder Feberoy Kasi held off his brother Jeovannie 10.90 to 10.92 in a cutthroat race between the visitors from Cotabato.
In the 400m, Feberoy teammate Marjun Sulleza, the Palaro 400 Hurdles Champion, took a tight finish to hold off Jumell Gonzales of Sto narrowly. Tomas National High School from Sto. Tomas, Davao Del Norte

The one-day event is divided into different sessions
The morning session is about the concept of grass-roots development models. As noted in the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA), the facilitator, Mr. Airnel T. Abarra, discussed the different paradigms in grassroots, sport for all, and elite sports.
The next part is the case studies in the German and Czech Grassroots and University Athletics system, as observed by the facilitator during his visits to the European Union. The community’s strength in the form of clubs serves as the backbone of strong Athletics programs and how regular local meets give elite levels a longer supply of athletes as coaches are on the regional levels to collaborate with local coaches.
In the afternoon session, the facilitator and the participants did practicals on formulating training programs. Using dynamic movements and we discussed training programs aimed at long-term development and assessment.
The praxis and interaction of both the facilitators and participants created a strong network of like-minded people for Athletics.
The next forum will be facilitated by Coach Tony Benson, the former coach during Project Gintong Alay and head of the Run Out of Poverty (ROOP) program in Davao City.

2017-2018 Mindanao Blue Knights Season 4 Round 2 Ateneo with Results and PATAFA Weekly Relays continuously being canceled
With the PSC-PATAFA Weekly relays canceled in Tagum and Koronadal due to lack of funding. However, the Blue Knights, established in Davao by Airnel T. Abarra with Ateneo De Davao’s help, pushed on with his fourth-year staging. Mr. Abarra started his program as part of his thesis’ but expanded on this concept through his European Athletics experiences. Has plans and interested parties looking at expanding into the further provinces in Mindanao.
The Blue Knights have already had one edition held at Tagum in previous years. At the same time, Davao Blue Knight officials were accredited by PATAFA last year. The meet is run with the support of individuals who contribute to the event as, unlike the PSC-PATAFA weekly relays, it is not funded by the PSC or the PATAFA.
The meet is in its 4th year of operation now, and we completed the second leg at Ateneo De Davao University. Ateneo De Davao University runs in partnership with a group run by many people called the Run out of Poverty Program. A Program aimed at helping underprivileged kids gain college scholarships.
